LEVELDOWN · OFFLINE-FIRST TOOL

Find level. Hear the difference.

A calm, precise iPhone tool for leveling mounted objects and measuring real surface inclination — without an account, a camera, or the cloud.

LEVELDOWN / PRINCIPLES

Designed for contact

When the screen is pressed against an object, the display may disappear. LevelDown keeps the important feedback physical, clear, and recoverable.

01 / CORE MOTION

No guesswork

Gravity from the iPhone is filtered and evaluated on the device. A combined X/Y error keeps diagonal tilt honest instead of hiding it behind one axis.

02 / TWO INTENTS

Choose what you mean

Use automatic leveling for a target surface, or explicitly switch to inclination mode when you want the real angle and downhill direction.

03 / FROZEN RESULT

Pick it up, keep the result

A stable window is averaged and saved. When the phone is lifted, LevelDown stops live feedback and shows the measurement you actually made.

LEVELDOWN / INTENT

Two honest ways to measure

The phone cannot know whether you want to level something or measure its slope. LevelDown lets you choose, then keeps those meanings separate.

01 / LEVELING

Auto level

For tables, shelves, frames, rails, and mounted objects that should be level. Near-horizontal and near-vertical reference poses are accepted; ambiguous slopes stay unknown.

  • Horizontal surfaces use the combined X/Y error
  • Vertical mounting finds the lowest physical hardware edge
  • Voice, beeps, and optional rear light point to the action

02 / INCLINATION

Measure slope

Choose this mode when the angle itself is the answer. LevelDown measures the true surface inclination, the usable percentage grade, and the downhill edge or corner.

  • Accepts deliberate screen-down slopes from 0° to near 90°
  • Uses gravity projection for large angles
  • Does not turn a measurement into a fake ‘closer’ signal

LEVELDOWN / FEEDBACK

Put the phone down. Let the signal speak.

LevelDown is made for the moment when you cannot see the screen. The session is simple enough to follow by voice, beeps, and light.

Make contact

Place the screen against the measured object using the same contact setup as your calibration profile.

Hold still

The app waits for a stable window instead of turning a passing reading into a result.

Adjust or lock

Follow the named low edge, or wait for the actual angle to be captured. Lift the phone to see the frozen result.
